Bastet is an interactive installation artwork consists of two cat statues with LCD displays on their heads and flexible tails. One plays a random YouTube video that contains the word “cat”, while the other shows the real-time image of a camera mounted on its chest. Custom built software analyzes the facial expressions of the people showed on the screen and the tail lively reacts so that viewers will explore the interaction between emotion and physical movement.

Bastetは、2体の猫の像からなるインタラクティブ・インスタレーションです。それぞれの像は頭部に液晶ディスプレイが取り付けられており、しなやかなしっぽを持っています。片方は「cat」という発言を含むYouTubeの動画をランダムに再生し、もう片方は胸に取り付けられたカメラの映像をリアルタイムに表示しています。カスタムメイドのソフトウェアが画面に映し出された人物の表情を分析し、それに応じてしっぽが生き生きと反応することで、鑑賞者は感情と身体の動きの相互作用を探求することになります。
